PCSGA Membership
The membership of the Pacific Coast Shellfish Growers Association includes growers and industry allied members in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, and Hawaii. Allied members include suppliers, brokers, agents and others who support shellfish farming and the work of the PCSGA.
Our Online Grower Search function provides access to a complete list of our growers or you can specify growers by state and/or the type of shellfish they raise. In addition, we have provided a separate list of allied members, including suppliers, vendors and individuals who support the goals and activities of the Pacific Coast Shellfish Growers Association.

As a shellfish grower, you face increasing regulatory, environmental, and food safety challenges.
The members of the Pacific Coast Shellfish Growers Association — PCSGA — have found there is strength in numbers, whether they’re dealing with local, state, national, or global issues. Since 1930, we’ve represented shellfish farmers on a broad scope of issues, including:
- Protecting water quality
- Collaborating in and promoting scientific research
- Sharing our voice on regulatory issues
- Growing our national and global market base
- And highlighting state-of-the-art growing methods
In addition to becoming part of a unified voice for shellfish farming, membership benefits include our newsletter, Longlines, which is published four times a year. In Longlines, you’ll read about emerging regulatory, environmental and marketplace issues, including informative articles of interest about the industry in general, and stories of what other shellfish growers are doing in different regions around the U.S.
Members also receive discounts admittance to PCSGA’s annual convention, where you can meet other growers, learn about state of the art techniques in aquaculture and marketing, get the latest information on regulatory and environmental issues, and meet suppliers and service providers.
You can join at the level which best suits your company. Remember, the more members we have, the more effective we become.
Grower Dues
Currently, in order to fund substantial legal and biological consultant fees associated with new federal shellfish permit requirements, PCSGA grower dues are 1% of farm-gate sales, or a minimum of $250 annually.
Farm-gate sales is the first sale price for which live product is sold by the original producer or, in those instances where the original producer is further processing their own product to add value, it would be the market price of that product if that processor had to purchase the product from other growers.
Allied Dues & Benefits
Even if you are not a grower, you can support West Coast shellfish farming and participate in association events by becoming an allied member of the Pacific Coast Shellfish Growers Association.
